FAQ

  • Will this help my high drive, over-excited dog who can't focus at competitions?

Yes. This class is designed specifically for dogs that are intense, very driven, over-excited, and/or lacking focus and engagement in and out of the ring. I address strategies for reducing frantic behavior when working in classes and practice at home. Arousal Management is at the heart of the curriculum!

  • Is this suitable for puppies?

This class is extremely suitable for puppies over 5 months. By this time, you have a good idea if your puppy is high drive and easily excitable. Training focus and engagement at an early age is extremely advantageous for an agility career.

  • When does this class start?

This class is open for you to begin at any time and work at your pace. You can join whenever and get the coaching you need. You will have Lifetime Access to the class.

  • My dog goes slow, gets sniffy and visits ring crew, is this class right for him?

No. I have a different class for your dog. It's called "Ring Stressed!" and you can find it right here. Scroll up to the top of this page and click on "ALL COURSES" to learn more.

  • What's the difference in a Working vs. Auditing spot?

Workers submit videos for feedback and ask questions. Auditors just ask questions and can view all of the working feedback with lifetime access. As a Working Student, I will give you feedback to your video submissions for 6 months. Each week, you can submit multiple videos. After 6 months, you can enjoy Lifetime Access to the content.

  • What Equipment do I need?

Not much! 3-4 jumps and 1 tunnel. If you don't have a tunnel, you can substitute a jump.

Testimonials

Transformational

Sandy G

I've had to pleasure to train with Laura in person at a Ringside Impulse Control seminar. It was transformational for my wild border collie! I learned so many techniques for keeping him under threshold before our run at classes and competition. The techniques are actually easy to apply and seem like magic at first! Now, I've gotten to go thru the online class and I picked up so many other procedures that are helping my dog. This class has helped us go from NQ's to class wins. Thank you so much.

Game Changer

Melinda S.

Before this class my dog was breaking start lines, knocking bars and jumping contacts. She was a crazed lunatic getting into the ring and she could never engage with me outside the ring. After training arousal management with Laura, I now have a very focused dog! I'm so happy I found you!

Amazing Class

Janet D.

First, this class is so well organized and easy to follow! Second, I am just so amazed at how well my dog is doing since I started training arousal management with him. He's always been difficult to deal with getting into the ring and holding a startline. But now, it's like I've got a different dog. Learning the right routines and understanding how I can manipulate his arousal were the things we needed. Thank you, thank you, Laura!
